NEW DELHI - Maruti Suzuki plans to export the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) for MPV variant Ertiga. One of the countries that will receive Ertiga supply is Indonesia.
Suzuki Ertiga will be officially launched at the New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 on January 5 next. For Maruti Suzuki, this is their first MPV concept car that was once the RIII at the Delhi Auto Expo 2010.
"It is a great opportunity to export Ertiga in CKD (separate component) in the Asian market. Maruti will be a component supplier Ertiga and several other models for the next few years, "jeas S Nakanishi, Managing Director, Maruti Suzuki India.
Suzuki Ertiga is a 7-passenger MPV that capitalizes 1.4-liter gasoline engine and 1.3-liter engine Fiat Multijet diesel. Sales Ertiga, will be sent to Indonesia and Thailand. In Indonesia, Suzuki Ertiga will compete directly with other Japanese manufacturers, Toyota and Daihatsu Xenia Avanaza.
CKD parts sent by Maruti Suzuki are the components of the engine and transmission, fuel tank, wheels, brakes, suspension and steering parts. All the parts that will be exported from its plant in Manesar.
